The CMS 1500 is the paper claim submitted when electronic is not an option. The 1500 can be generated for any payer set as Insurance Type. Generating a 1500 is done from the Billing screen.
- Select the claim to generate
- Select the View Detail icon
- Select the payer from the drop down menu
- Click ‘Paper Claim’
Chart Talk will generate entire document or just the test to be printed on stack paper depending on how Print Settings are configured.
Troubleshooting:
If the alignment is too high on the bottom and too low on top, you need to set your print scaling to NO scaling and 100%. This could also be called or referenced “fit to screen” by some manufacturers or internet browsers. Make sure this setting is unchecked when using pre-printed 1500 forms.
This is a printer setting not a Chart Talk Setting.
